The Del.icio.us team have yet to release an updated version of their classic extension for Firefox 3. The extension adds two very handy icons on the Firefox toolbar for the Del.icio.us users: One that allows you to view your saved pages and one that allows you to post a page on Del.icio.us.

I have customized the extension to make it compatible with Firefox 3. Simply click on the download link below and then drag & drop it on the Adds On Dialog box of your Firefox 3 installation.

The latest beta of the Firefox has hit the internet. I grabbed the Windows and the Mac OS X builds and installed them on my PC and Mac Mini respectively. Beta 4 is robust and polishes the new Firefox interface. It is almost ready to get out of the beta phase.

The only real downside is that a lot of extensions are not yet compatible, so you may have to reside on the Nightly Build Tools to enable them (and hope that they will work fine).

Also, the Mac OS X version is extremely fast and I can dare to say that it matches the speed of Safari.

The list with the available extentsions for Firefox over in Mozilla Update is so vast that may prove quite a challenge to identify the essential ones. Hence, I have compiled a list with all the Firefox add-ons that I feel that stand out.

adblock is an excellent extension for Mozilla Firefox that filters the ads from the pages that you visit. You can fine tune it by specifying some filters that apply to the most of the sites on the web.

You can do that from the Tools/adblock/Preferences option on the drop-down menu or by pressing Control + Shift + P on your keyboard (Windows Platform).
