Social Bookmarks Sites Cleanup

The plugin has exceeded the 8,000 downloads. Now that the code is stable enough, I will concentrate on the supported sites. Some of them do not exist anymore (BlinkBits, BUMPzee, De.lirio.us to list a few of them) and some others have changed their name and logo (like Netscape). I have compiled a list of the sites that are supported out-of-the-box with the plugin.

I intend to drop a lot of sites and include others in their place. My intention is to bring quality to the list and not chase quantity. Now is a good time for you to suggest your sites (even if they appear on the list as I maybe about to remove them) on the comment box below.

WordPress Plugins Activation Order

I just noticed an issue with the way that WordPress handles the plugins activation. A couple of WordPress users have reported that when they activate Social Bookmarks, the plugin activates and operates as advertised but the AJAX features of the WordPress Dashboard break. I have tried for a while now to replicate the issue and I was unable to.

Last night I noticed that my NextGen Gallery AJAX stopped working. When a plugin breaks usually the problem lies with a plugin update that follows the programming pattern that is known as sloppy coding.

I started disabling all the plugins one by one until the AJAX functionality was working. However, I ended up disabling all the plugins as I could not spot an offending plugin.

I re-activated the NextGen Gallery and the AJAX features of the gallery were working fine. I activated all my other plugins and this time the Dashboard AJAX did not break. My conclusion is that WordPress 2.7 is a bit picky about the order with which the plugins are activated.
